New Kids Math Center in Artesia Helps Students Just in Time for Back to School

ALOHA Mind Math offers parents in Cerritos-Artesia a free math tutoring class to help their students improve math skills.

It’s that time of year again. School is in session and parents are balancing school schedules, extracurriculars, and ensuring kids get their homework done. But who helps kids when they’re struggling with math? If the parents are lucky, they get to sit down for a family meal, much less make kid’s math seem fun, interesting, and easy.

The sad reality is that only 34% of students succeed in math in the United States. That number is rather low, but there is something parents in the Cerritos-Artesia area can do. It’s called ALOHA Mind Math, an after school math tutoring program that teaches students how to mentally calculate math problems. No more relying on calculator, pen or paper. ALOHA Mind Math students can solve complex math problems within minutes, often faster than a calculator.
