400+ Accidents Reported on LA Freeways During Storm

Los Angelenos apparently have a difficult time driving in the rain-- as the CHP reports an influx of traffic accidents during this week's storm.

There were 404 crashes on Los Angeles freeways during the 24 hours of light, intermittent rain from 5 a.m. Wednesday to 5 a.m. Thursday, compared with 260 crashes during the same period last week, when it did not rain, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The 260 crashes occurred from 5 a.m. Oct. 2 to 5 a.m. Oct. 3, said CHP Officer A. Rubio.
