Caltrans Road Work to Cause Freeway Closures in Cerritos-Artesia This Week

Scheduled road work will force the closure of some local freeway connectors, onramps and off-ramps between the period of Aug. 20-28, affecting those traveling in and out of the Cerritos-Artesia area.

Scroll through the list provided by Caltrans and the city of Cerritos below so you know what to expect before you hit the road:

• The northbound connector from the San Gabriel River (605) Freeway to the eastbound and westbound Artesia (91) freeways will be closed Monday, Aug. 20 to Thursday, Aug. 23 betwen 11 p.m. and 6 a.m. due to contruction. 
• Numerous onramp and off-ramp closures to/from the 605 Freeway from Monday, Aug. 20 to Tuesday, Aug. 28 between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. due to a repaving project. The schedule for the closures is as follows:
  • South Street northbound: Tuesday, August 21 from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. 
  • Alondra Boulevard southbound: Wednesday, August 22 from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. 
  • Alondra Boulevard northbound: Thursday, August 23 from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. 
  • Del Amo Boulevard southbound: Monday, August 27 from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. 
  • Del Amo Boulevard northbound: Tuesday, August 28 from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.
