Firefighters Will Collect Toys at Los Cerritos Center Today
The Sparks of Love Toy Drive benefits underserved children in the Southland.
California Firefighters and ABC7 are joining forces again this year to help add a spark of joy to local needy children and teens' holiday season. For the 20 years, they've sponsored the Spark of Love Toy Drive.
As it has in the past, the drive come to Cerritos this year via a Stuff-a-Bus event. It takes place from 4:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. today—Friday, Dec. 7—in the South Street-Gridley Road corner parking lot of Los Cerritos Center.
Join Garth the Elf—also known as ABC7 news' Garth Kemp—for the event and help the cause by bringing a new, unwrapped toy or sports equipment.

Over the past two decades, the Spark of Love Toy Drive has successfully collected more than seven million toys. The campaign collects new, unwrapped toys and sports equipment for underserved children and teens in Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Orange, Ventura and Riverside counties. Toys collected in the respective counties are distributed locally.
If you can't make it to the event Friday, you can also drop off toys at local fire stations or donate online through the California Community Foundation.
