Five Things You Need to Know About Today, Dec. 24

Last minute shopping hours, your last chance to take the kids for photos with Santa and local library closures. Here's a list of things happening in the neighborhood on Saturday, Dec. 24.

Here's a list of what's going on in Cerritos and Artesia on Saturday, Dec. 24:

  1. Go to the  to handle all that last minute shopping from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.: If you've yet to finish up your Christmas gift shopping, don't fret. The Cerritos Mall is open today until 6 p.m. So throw on those comfy shoes and hit the ground running!
  2. It's the last day to take the kids for photos with Santa at the Los Cerritos Center from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.: It's Santa's last day in town, but you still have time to get a photograph with the jolly old man in red. for more info.
  3. The is closed for the holiday weekend: The city's library will be closed in honor of Christmas weekend and will re-open on Tuesday, Dec. 27.
  4. The  is open until 5 p.m. today: All county libraries, including the Artesia Library, will close at 5 p.m. today and will not reopen until Tuesday, Dec. 27. Call the library at (562) 865-6614 for more details.
