It's Food Truck Heaven Every Wednesday Night in Cerritos

A new Wednesday night food craze at the Best Buy parking lot in Cerritos, has foodies saying "mmm mmm good."

* For a list of the May 25 food truck line-up, .

If you're like most foodies, you know that when it comes to good eats these days, there are a plethora of food trucks out there offering the latest in culinary delights.

But, if you're like me, and just don't have the time to track down one of these elusive meals on wheels, how about if someone told you that you could have your pick of one of these popular food trucks at least once a week?

Well wish no more because food truck heaven has officially arrived every Wednesday night from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Cerritos parking lot.

Spearheaded by Christian Murcia, owner of Crepes Bonaparte, and Joseph Sue, the owner of the Calbi BBQ, this weekly diner's delight initally began in mid April.

"We tried it out one week and had a really good response," Murcia told Patch.com. "So we decided to come back every Wednesday night."

Both Crepes Bonaparte and Calbi BBQ are fixtures at the weekly dinner rally while six or more other trucks vary from week to week. Some of the vendors in the coming weeks include popular favorites like White Rabbit TruckLouks To Go, Temaki, Bakery Truck, Ragin Cajun and Fresh Fries, just to name a few. (Patch will be posting a complete list of the Wednesday night line-up at the start of each week.)

"Oh my gosh, this is heaven," one happy patron remarked while holding a bowl of Bistec Tazones -- white rice, black beans, grilled onions, and sweet plantains topped with grilled steak– from the Cuban food truck !No Jodas!.

"And after this I'm going to get a crepe for dessert," the patron added with a smile.

The May 18 dinner line-up includes:

  1. Komodo
  2. Tornado Potato
  3. Crepes Bonaparte
  4. Mandoline Grill
  5. MeSoHungry Truck
  6. Vesuvio
  7. LudoTruck
  8. Calbi BBQ

Editor's Note: Patch will be posting the Wednesday night Food Truck list at the start of each week. For a look at menus, prices, and payment options, visit each truck's website through the links provided.

When it comes to the FREE newspaper (or anything else that's free) -- the old saying applies: YouRead More get what you pay for.

To call this "rag" a newspaper is a joke. They only put partial truths, always sided to aRead More covert friend of the writer and never have done the background investigation to be able to establish validity!
