UPDATED: Lost Dog Found Near Heritage Park Reunited with Owner

The well-mannered pup, who was found wandering near Shoemaker Avenue and Cantrece Street on the night of Dec. 6, was reunited with his owner on Wednesday night.

Updated at 10 p.m. Nov. 12: The adorable dog named Charlie was reunited with his owner Wednesday night. Charlie's owner saw one of the many signs posted in the city by Jen Huang, who found the lost pup wandering near Heritage Park on Dec. 6.

Charlie's owner had desperately been searching for him since he went missing last week. She received the dog as a gift from her husband just two weeks before he passed away, so Charlie is a special reminder of her husband's love and spirit.

A stray dog was found wandering near Heritage Park in Cerritos last Thursday, and the woman who found the pooch is hoping to reunite him with his owner.

The black and white colored dog was found roaming on Shoemaker Avenue and Cantrece Street on the night of Dec. 6. by local resident Jen Huang who was walking her dog. The stray then followed the pair home.

The pup is described as being well-mannered and he appears to be trained and well-taken care of, according to Huang.

"We all feel bad because someone obviously put in a lot of time and love into him," said Jen Kimura, who is friends with Huang.

The dog was not wearing any tags and is not microchipped, according to the local animal shelter. If the dog is turned into the shelter, he will be euthanized within a matter of days if not claimed by his owner or adopted by another family.

Posters of the lost dog have been plastered all over the city, but so far no one has claimed the pup.

When it comes to the FREE newspaper (or anything else that's free) -- the old saying applies: YouRead More get what you pay for.

To call this "rag" a newspaper is a joke. They only put partial truths, always sided to aRead More covert friend of the writer and never have done the background investigation to be able to establish validity!
