LACMA and Other L.A. Museums Offer Free Admission to Bank Customers

Bank of America and Merrill Lynch customers can visit museums once a month for no cost.

If you've been meaning to visit some of the area's museums, the first full weekend of the month might be a good time if you're a Bank of America or Merrill Lynch customer. Each card holder for those businesses gets one free admission to museums on those weekends.

To participate in the Museums on Us program, bring your bank credit or debit card along with a photo ID to gain free general admission to the museum. The offer only applies to cardholders. Guests of cardholders are not eligible for free admission. See other details here.

Nationwide, the program offers free admission to more than 150 museums. [You can see an entire list here.] While there are none located in Cerritos or Artesia, there are some nearby. The Los Angeles museums include the following:

Autry National Center: 4700 Western Heritage Way, Los Angeles. Open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Los Angeles County Museum of Art: 5905 Wilshire Blvd., Los Angeles. Open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Skirball Cultural Center: 2701 N. Sepulveda Blvd., Los Angeles. Open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Hammer Museum: 10899 Wilshire Blvd., Los Angeles. Open 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

The offer is good for both days of the weekend and the weekends are as follow: April 6 and 7, May 4 and 5, June 1 and 2, July 6 and 7, Aug. 3 and 4, Sept. 7 and 8, Oct. 5 and 6, Nov. 2 and 3 and Dec. 7 and 8.
