Outage Leaves Hundreds in Artesia Without Power

A Sunday night outage leaves hundreds in Artesia in the dark overnight.

An power outage on Sunday night left more than 750 Southern California Edison customers in Artesia without power overnight. 

The problem was reported about 7:30 p.m. June 16 near Horst Avenue and Ashworth Street, according to the utility company's outage map.

At about 1 a.m. Patch reader Christie Pacheco left a note on the Cerritos-Artesia Patch Facebook page about the outage, "Would u know wht happend no lights in Artesia......".

As of 1:05 a.m. Monday, Edison reported that 754 customers were still without power. The outage was reportedly caused by equipment problems.

It was unclear when power would be fully restored.
