Editor's Note: This obituary was provided to Patch by the family of Patrick M. Simbol.
Patrick M. Simbol was born on Nov. 1, 1970, in Makati City, Philippines. He was the second of three boys born to Elmer and Theresa (Cita) Simbol.
After initially living in Long Beach for a few years, Patrick and his family moved to Cerritos where he attended Juarez Elementary School and . In high school, Patrick served as both Junior Class President and Senior Class President. During this time, he also developed a passion for music and helped start the DJ group, Optimum.
Upon graduating from high school in 1988, Patrick enrolled at the University of Southern California where he served as Vice President of Troy Philippines and, of course, developed a love for Trojan football. But most importantly, it was at USC where Patrick met his future wife, Jadrey. In 1992, Patrick graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business (real estate finance).
Patrick began his professional career with Carlsberg Management Company in Santa Monica, where he worked for his late father, Elmer. He later worked for Pacific Realty Advisors in Arizona. Most recently, Patrick was the Acquisitions and Asset Manager for Holualoa Companies.
Patrick is survived by his wife, Jadrey; his daughter, Victoria; his sons, Jarick and Justin; his mother, Theresa; his brothers, Gerry and Anthony; and numerous other family members and friends.
Memorial Services for Patrick M. Simbol:
1. March 10 (Saturday): Viewing from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Forest Lawn in Cypress (4471 Lincoln Avenue, Cypress).
2. March 11 (Sunday): Viewing from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Forest Lawn in Cypress, with a rosary at 6:30 p.m.
3. March 12 (Monday): Funeral mass at 10 a.m. at St. Linus Catholic Church (13915 Shoemaker Avenue, Norwalk).
