SoCal Edison Schedules Power Outage for Portion of Cerritos on Sunday

Power will be interrupted for more than 600 homes and 19 commercial customers until about 9:30 a.m. Sunday.

Southern California Edison will be launching a planned power outage that will affect roughly hundreds of its Cerritos customers starting at about 11 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 25 and it is expected to last until approximately 9:30 a.m. Sunday, according to the utility company. 

Power will be interrupted for 19 commercial customers and 603 homes near 183rd Street between Kamstra and Shoemaker avenues. Traffic signals and water features will also be turned off at 183rd Street and Kamstra Avenue, and 183rd Street and Shoemaker Avenue, according to Edison.

All affected customers have been notified of the event.
