Top 5 Cerritos-Artesia Stories: Cerritos Council Election, LCCN Criticized, Patrol Cars Crash

It was a busy news week, here's a recap of other Patch stories you may have missed.

There were many important stories local to the Cerritos-Artesia area this week. But just in case you missed them, here are our Top Five stories.

1. Cerritos voters re-elect incumbent Carol K. Chen and welcome George Ray into the Cerritos City Council. 

2. A Cerritos resident questions the ethics of Los Cerritos Community News when it comes to the publications controversial election coverage and advertisements accusing misuse of public funds and communism.

3. Two sheriff's patrol cars crash en route to a burglary call in Cerritos. No one was seriously hurt in the accident.

4. ABC Unified School District superintendent Dr. Mary Sieu reflects on the impact of sequestration on local education. 

5. Local crime stats indicate that burglars are breaking into cars to gain access to garage door openers and ultimately break into Cerritos homes.
