Top 5 Cerritos-Artesia Area Stories: Burglars Found with Police Scanners, Walmart Hiring, Midnight Bandit

In a busy news week, here's a recap of other Patch stories you may have missed.

There were many important stories local to the Cerritos-Artesia area this week. But just in case you missed them, here are our Top Five stories.

1. A Cerritos deputy captured two people a car stolen from the city of Riverside. 

2. Artesia residents were put on alert when Lakewood sheriff's deputies launched a search for a vehicle spotted fleeing the scene of a residential burglary on 176th Street. 

3. Cerritos Sheriffs deputies caught two suspected burglars with a police scanner and a cache of jewelry in their vehicle. 

4. The hiring process begins at the Walmart neighborhood market set to open in Hawaiian Gardens later this summer. 

5. A massive countywide search was underway for the 'Midnight Bandit' who was linked to 58 local gas station robberies.
