Raul and Ida Avila were among several married couples who recently received a special blessing during mass at on World Marriage Day.
This special event honors and affirms the vocation of husbands and wives and the positive impact of their dedicated example on society, families, communities, Church, and nation, according to the parish.
The Avilas along with several other couples married for more than 25 years took part in the Feb. 11 mass Entrance procession. The Norwalk couple will be celebrating their 64th Wedding Anniversary on June 20, 2012.
