Fleece Fun for Your Furry Friend
This felt braid can be a cheap, fun, and easy alternative to the expensive toys sold at pet supply stores. The fleece braid takes just minutes to make and it can provide hours of fun for your cat or dog.
What You Need
- Fleece
- Scissors
- Your Pet
Step 1
Start with fun-colored felt. Alternating colors and patterns adds depth to the braid.
Step 2
Cut strips from your fleece that are 12 inches long.
For cats: Cut fleece 1 inch thick if you're making the braid for a cat.
For dogs: Cut fleece 2 inches if you're making the braid for a dog.
Step 3
Using the ends of the three strips, double knot them so that they are all securely fastened.
Step 4
Braid the three strips together.
For cats: Stop the braid three inches from the bottom of the loose ends.
For Dogs: Stop the braid so that you have just enough material to double knot the loose ends.
Step 5
For cats: Cut the remainder of the loose ends into thinner strips.
For dogs: Skip to step 7.
Step 6
Give your fleece braid to your furry friend and enjoy!
