Help the Artesia Library, Attend a Garden Party

The annual fundraiser will take place on May 3 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Andy's Garden in Artesia. Pre-sale tickets are available now.

Books, wine, food and entertainment -- it's the recipe for a wonderful evening spent benefiting a great cause.

Put on your Hawaiian attire and join the Friends of the Artesia Library on May 3 for their Garden Party Library Benefit. The Friends are once again sponsoring an evening of good food and fun in a beautiful outdoor setting from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Andy’s Garden in Artesia.

There will be a great selection of cuisines from restaurants in Artesia and Cerritos. Attendees can also enjoy wine tasting, entertainment, a silent auction, raffle prizes, a dessert bake sale, and of course, a book sale.

Ticket Information

Tickets maybe purchased in advance for $15 for adults and $7 for children 12 and under. Adult tickets will be $20 at the door. Tables for eight are available for purchase at $120. Because tickets are limited, event organizers suggest they be purchased in advance.

Tickets are currently available for sale at the Artesia Library at 18722 Clarkdale Ave., (562) 865-6614. Contact Michele Diaz at mdiaz2000@earthlink.net or (562) 402-9893, or Joanne Witt at (562) 860-2036 and they will arrange to get tickets to you.

Sponsorship Opportunities Available

There are also several levels of sponsorship available from $100 (Literary Circle) to $1,000 (Rare Book Circle) if you would like to support the library with a monetary donation. If you would like to be a sponsor or have something to donate to the silent auction or raffle, please contact Sally Flowers at zunigaflowers@yahoo.com.

How Will the Funds Raised Be Used?

The Friends buy best sellers, children’s books, computer equipment, furniture, and sponsor performers and programs throughout the year. Help the group help the library and join the festivities on Friday, May 3 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Andy’s Garden, 11504 178th St. in Artesia.
