Knott's Berry Farm officials today announced that it will reopen the classic Calico Mine Ride and refurbished Camp Snoopy next month.
Work began on the theme park attractions in January.
When the Calico Mine Ride reopens on June 14 it will feature about 50 new state-of-the-art animatronic figures in an updated adventure theme as well as new digital recorded audio and other special effects.
The iconic attraction's origin stems from a handshake agreement in 1959 between Knott's founder, Walter Knott, and theme park pioneer Bud Hurlbut. Knott worked in mines around the turn of the century in the Calico region of San Bernardino County and he strived to make the attraction as realistic as possible.
The park's Camp Snoopy has also been upgraded with three new rides.
