Location Managers Guild to Scout Cerritos for Film Locations on Sunday

The City of Cerritos' state-of-the-art facilities and picturesque venues will be on display this weekend as location managers prepare to tour the area for potential filming locations.

The Location Managers Guild of America (LMGA) will be scoping out the City of Cerritos this Sunday as part of a new program designed to target cities for potential filming opportunities.

Cerritos is the first city to participate in the LMGA's "Re-launching the Zone" program, which aims to help keep jobs in the Los Angeles region by focusing on local film locations within the 30-mile studio zone. The center of this zone is located at the southeast corner of Beverly and La Cienega in Los Angeles. Cerritos along with more than 90 other cities located in Los Angeles, Orange and Ventura counties fall within this area used by union film projects to determine per diem rates and driving distances for crew members.

As part of its tour, the group will be visiting the, , , the Civic Center, , the and . The event will conclude with a mixer at the CCPA, according to the City.
