A small brush fire broke out alongside the San Gabriel River (605) Freeway in Cerritos today.
The flames on the side of the north 605 Freeway near South Street were reported about 1 p.m. Wednesday, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Los Angeles County firefighters were called to the scene and doused the blaze in less than 15 minutes. There were no injuries immediately reported.
