UPDATED: Police Locate Woman Reported Missing in Cerritos

Updated at 9 p.m.: Mary Kay Bernat has been found safe in the city of Huntington Beach. Huntington Beach police found the woman and safely reunited her with her family.

Detectives from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department are looking for a 53-year-old woman who went missing in Cerritos on Wednesday.

Mary Kay Bernat, who suffers from Alzheimer's, was last seen at the corner of Beach Street and Marcourt Avenue at 6:15 p.m. Wednesday.

She was driving a white Toyota Camry, license No. 6XWE475. The vehicle was later found, deputies said.

Bernat is about 5 feet, 5 inches tall and weighs about 180 pounds. She has blond hair and blue eyes and was wearing a blue blouse and blue stretch pants.
