Writing & Art Contests: Martin Luther King, Jr. Day

The Art Contest is open to students in grades K-12. The Writing Contest is open to students in grades 7-12.
Fliers and application forms are available at the Cerritos Library and other City facilities.

The art and writing contest theme is: Sharing the dream: change begins with me. Who am I and what can I contribute to society to make the world a better place?
ART CONTEST: Create an imaginative picture using paints, crayons or any other medium.
Artwork must be no larger than 12” x 18” and should not be mounted.
One entry per person.
All completed entries should be turned in to the Children’s Help Desk before the deadline.

WRITING CONTEST
Entries, either a poem or an essay, must be original
No more than 300 words
Preferably typed on white letter-size paper
One entry per person
All completed entries should be turned in to the Children’s Help Desk before the deadline.
