7-Eleven Celebrates 85th Birthday with Free Slurpees on Wednesday

Need a refreshing cool down from the summer heat? Give yourself a frosty treat by grabbing one of 7-Eleven's free Slurpees today.

The convenience store chain is celebrating its 85th birthday on July 11 with free 7.11-oz. Slurpees at participating locations from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday.

“This year we expect to give away 7 million Slurpee drinks, more than ever before, beating last year’s offer by 2 million," said Joe DePinto, 7-Eleven president and CEO. 

Aside from enjoying staple flavors like Coca-Cola Classic, Fanta Wild Cherry and Fanta Blue Raspberry, patrons can also try some new Slurpee twists -- Fanta Sugar-Free Strawberry Banana and Fanta Lemon Crème. 

Bonus Promotion on 7/11

7-Eleven Slurpee partner, Six Flags, will also join in on the birthday fun by offering a special admission price of $7.11 to guests after 7:11 p.m. on 7-Eleven Day when they present a receipt from a 7-Eleven purchase dated 7/11/12. Guests will also receive a VIP wristband at this time to attend the “Exclusive 7-ElevenCoasters After Dark” event that evening.
