Five Things You Should Know About Today, Dec. 10

Lakers' tickets go on sale at 10 a.m, a Korean Cooking show will be live at the Artesia Library, & award-winning singers will fill the CCPA with the sweet sounds of Christmas. Here's a list of things happening in the neighborhood on Saturday, Dec. 10.

Here's a list of what's going on in Cerritos and Artesia on Saturday, Dec. 10:

  1. Bring the kids to  at  to make their own Gingerbread House from noon to 3 p.m.: This workshop is available for kids ages 4-10. Each workshop kit costs $5.00 and can be purchased the day of the event at the Sears' Hardware department. Only 50 kids are allowed per workshop so arrive early. To participate please visit www.mysears.com/cerritos or call (562) 403-8600 for more details.
  2. Korean Cooking Show at : The Culinary Institute of Korea will present a live Korean Cooking show from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Call the library at (562) 865-6614 for more details. 
  3.  presents Natal do Musico e Jogador: Come enjoy Christmas Dinner with the Artesia D.E.S. and their Band and Soccer teams starting at 6 p.m. It is $20 for members and $25 for non-members. Doors open at 6 p.m. and dinner is served at 7 p.m. Call the center at (562) 865-4693 for more details.
  4. Watch the holiday show favorite "Colors of Christmas" at the  at 8 p.m.: This year’s show features Grammy winner Peabo Bryson, Grammy winner Jennifer Holliday, Broadway sensation Lea Salonga and Tony winner Ben Vereen in a festive program filled with holiday cheer and seasonal favorites.   5. Individual regular-season game tickets for the Los Angeles Lakers go on sale at 10 a.m. today via TicketMaster: If you want to check out Kobe Bryant and the rest of the fellas in purple and gold at the Staples Center this NBA season, tickets will officially be on sale starting at 10 a.m. today. You can purchase tickets by calling (800) 4NBATIX, visiting any TicketMaster location, or logging onto to ticketmaster.com. TicketMaster kiosks can also be found at the Cerritos . Tickets range from $10-$900, depending on the matchup.
