Melcast Litho to Open in Cerritos, 20 New Hires Expected

The commercial printer and lithographer is expected to create 20 new jobs as part of its May 2012 move into the city.

Melcast Litho, a commercial printer and lithographer, will be moving to the city of Cerritos in May and the company expects to hire 20 new employees at the location.

The business will be moving into to a 165,000-square-foot facility located at 13712 Alondra Blvd., providing the company with more space as it addresses its business expansion needs.

Melcast Litho, which has been providing offset printing and lithography services for more than 25 years, also provides die cutting, bindery, gluing, UV coating and custom packaging to a wide variety of industries.

“Melcast Litho is moving to Cerritos because it is a better area, better location and a bigger building. I wanted to grow my business,” said owner Mel Castano.

Cerritos mayor Jim Edwards said the move creates a great opportunity for the city and its people.

“The city of Cerritos is delighted to welcome Melcast Litho to our community, the mayor said. "The company's services and employment opportunities will be of great benefit to Cerritos."

Melcast Litho will bring 45 employees to Cerritos and expects to hire up to 20 new employees for the Cerritos facility, which is scheduled to open in May 2012.
