Cerritos Based Company Merges with Competitor to Create Leading Distributor of Public Safety Products

Quartermaster, Inc.'s Cerritos based headquarters employs about 135 individuals.

Galls, LLC, a full service marketer and distributor of public safety, first responder and private security products, announced Tuesday that it has merged with Cerritos based competitor Quartermaster, Inc. 

Quartermaster, which moved its headquarters to Fabrica Way in Cerritos in Feb. of 2001, has been a leading national multi-channel distributor of public safety products and uniforms for more than 37 years. The company currently serves approximately 100,000 customers nationwide from private security, to federal, state and local law enforcement, and the U.S. Military. 

It's Cerritos location currently employs roughly 135 individuals, according to Kelli Whitcomb, Human Resources Director of Quartermaster. The company also has retail service center locations in Santa Ana, Long Beach, Los Angeles and Las Vegas.

Jim Duncan, current Chief Executive Officer of Quartermaster, will become President of the combined company. 

"Quartermaster has achieved tremendous success on its own since 1974. As we look toward our future growth, we realize that joining forces with Galls and forming a national distribution platform is the best means of serving our customers," said Duncan.

Galls, which is based in Lexington, Ky. and owned by a New York private equity firm, markets and distributes a wide variety of uniforms and professional gear for law enforcement, firefighters, emergency medical technicians (EMTs), and others who safety and security personnel. It currently serves more than one million customers per year, delivering to more than 100 countries.
