Southland Gasoline Prices Continue to Rise

It's your price at the pump heading into the weekend of May 11 to May 13; use our handy Patch tool to find your lowest gas prices in the neighborhood.

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County today recorded its largest daily increase since Feb. 25, rising 4.3 cents to $4.276.

The sharp increase stems from record low gasoline inventories and continued refinery issues, according to Jeffrey Spring of the Automobile Club of Southern California.

The average price is 6.2 cents more than one week ago and a half-cent higher than one year ago, but is unchanged from one month ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
