ERNEST GONZALES JOINS UNION BANK'S CONSUMER LENDING GROUP AS COMMUNITY LOAN OFFICER IN NORWALK

Union Bank, N.A. today announced that Ernest Gonzales has joined its Consumer Lending team as a community loan officer.  Based in Norwalk, Gonzales is responsible for introducing customers to Union Bank’s Economic Opportunity Mortgage (EOM) product to meet the lending needs of low- to moderate-income and multicultural communities throughout Los Angeles County.  The EOM is designed for individuals with low- to moderate-income households or who are purchasing or refinancing a property in a qualifying census area.1  Gonzales reports to Regional Sales Manager Chris Morris.

Before joining Union Bank, Gonzales was as a loan officer with Chase.  Prior to that, he served as an account executive with Countrywide Home Loans and a loan officer with North American Mortgage.  Union Bank’s Consumer Lending group originates the bank’s loans to consumers, which includes residential mortgages.
