A 29-year-old man was gunned down in his own driveway this week, and police are still looking for whomever is responsible.

Authorities Friday identified a man who was shot and killed outside his home in Artesia.

The shooting in the 12100 block of 180th Street near Norwalk Boulevard occurred about 1:10 a.m. Thursday, sheriff's deputies said. Sergio Lopez, 29, died at the scene, said coroner's Assistant Chief Ed Winter.

"According to several witnesses, they were in their homes when they heard four to five gunshots," Deputy Irys Alvarez stated. "They came outside, discovered the victim and called police. No suspects or vehicles were seen leaving the area." No arrests were reported.
