Booty-Shaking Across America
On Saturday July 30, people all around the nation got their collective groove-on in celebration of National Dance Day. This new phenomenon was invented by So You Think You Can Dance judge and executive producer, Nigel Lythgoe. Celebrated for the first time in 2010, this annual event has already become a national craze born from a grassroots initiative to promote dance instructions and a healthy and mobile lifestyle.
With three routines available (Everybody, Intermediate, and Masters), people or any level of dance-skill were invited to join the festivities in the name of fun, physical fitness, and dance education. Events included celebrations at several Six Flags Parks as well as one right .
