Where's Cerritos-Artesia's Best Cupcake?

Patch is on the hunt for Cerritos-Artesia's best cupcake! Tell us where to find it.

Editor's Note: to take the official Cerritos-Artesia Patch poll so we can crown a winner for the Best Cupcake in the area. Votes are being accepted until Friday, March 9.

There's no doubt many Americans have an obsession with cupcakes, and understandably so.

What other dessert allows you to indulge in cake-y goodness in such a neat little package?

And now, many bakeries are responding to our cupcake attraction, dedicating their expertise and efforts strictly to the creation of cupcakes. Of course, who can resist the traditional vanilla, chocolate and red velvet kind? But what about a green tea, pineapple or even bacon cupcake?!

This week, Patch is on the hunt for the best cupcake in the Cerritos and Artesia areas. Tell us your favorite places to indulge in the all-American cupcake, and don't hesitate to include new, unique flavors.

Here's a few that have already been suggested at Patch's Newsroom, but it's up to you to nominate your picks in Comments.

Paris Baguette

Nominate your favorite before Friday at 5 p.m., and we'll include it in our poll. We'll begin voting next week Monday at 9 a.m.

Because this poll is not scientific, it is not the sole consideration in choosing a winner. The winner will be determined by each Patch editor, based on poll results, comments and reviews on Patch Places. If there's a tie, the location with the most positive comments and reviews will win. Please vote only once per survey, per Patch.

I love the carrot cupcakes with cream cheese frosting from Trader Joes.

I recommend home-based Mixed Blessings for the most moist whipped frosting-filled cupcakes. My favorite is the orange cupcakes with tart sprinkles and candy jellies. Second is the marble vanilla-chocolate with marble swirled frosting. Owner Bettyanne donates a portion to charity. Cakes and other treats available. 562-715-4887

Where is Bettyanne located Joanne? And that's awesome that she donates some of her profits to charity :)

Bettyanne - a.k.a. MIXED BLESSINGS is located in La Mirada - via website www.mixed-blessings.org - and give them a call! (they deliver to Cerritos/Artesia area 7 days a week!).
