Two assaults were reported March 9 and March 10 in Cerritos and Artesia.
The first was reported at 3 a.m. Saturday in the 100 block of Los Cerritos Center, as an aggravated assault with an unspecified deadly weapon.
The second was reported at 4:19 p.m. Sunday in the 18400 block of Horst Avenue in Artesia, as an assault while obstructing, resisting, battery on a peace officer.
Bot incidents were assigned case numbers, but updates were not available Thursday March 14.
A watch commander at the Los Angeles County sheriff's Cerritos Station referred questions about the incidents to the sheriff's Cerritos Detectives Bureau, where detectives were not available to comment for this report.
