A motorist struck and injured a 16-year-old boy on a bike in Cerritos Sunday night, authorities said.
The accident occurred on Bloomfield Avenue at Artesia Boulevard about 8:30 p.m. June 24, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The victim was taken to a hospital following the accident, Capt. Joe Gonzales said. His injuries were not considered serious and he was later released, sheriff's Lt. George Berumen added.
"The driver of the vehicle may have had a seizure," triggering the accident, which remained under investigation, the captain said.
And also from what I saw the biking teenager was coming down the street a bit too fast for the driver to react in time.
