Burglar Breaks Into Cerritos Home While Resident is Upstairs
The break-in took place about 11 a.m. Friday, according to the Cerritos Sheriff's Station.
A suspected burglar broke into a Cerritos home today, startling a resident who was upstairs at the time and heard commotion in her kitchen.
The burglary in the 10900 block of Roberta Street was reported at 11 a.m. Friday, according to a deputy at the Cerritos Sheriff's Station.
"The woman was upstairs when the suspect broke into her home through a kitchen window," the deputy told Patch. "She heard the noises, came downstairs and the suspect took off running out of the back door."

No suspect description is available at this time, but deputies are continuing to investigate the break-in.
It is unclear whether anything was taken from the home.
