Trio Arrested on Suspicion of Breaking Into Cerritos Residence

Two men and a woman are in custody today in connection with allegedly breaking into a Cerritos residence last week.

The Cerritos Sheriff's Station Residential Burglary Team responded to a call of two suspicious males in the 18400 block of Bechard Avenue at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 23, according to Sgt. Jorge Chavez.

When deputies arrived at the location, they saw a man and a woman sitting in a vehicle and another man exiting a side yard of a residence. The three suspects were quickly detained by deputies, Chavez said.

An investigation revealed that the trio from Los Angeles had driven into the city of Cerritos with the intent to burglarize homes. All three suspects were arrested for Conspiracy to Commit a Burglary and booked at the Lakewood Sheriff’s Station, the sergeant said.

Due to other pending burglary investigations, the names of the suspects are being withheld at this time.
