Cerritos Anti-Muslim Filmmaker To Be Released This Week

The man who faced heat related to his film "Innocence of Muslims" has been jailed until now for violating violating the terms of his parole.

The Cerritos-based filmmaker linked to the anti-Islam film that was blamed for sparking deadly protests in the Muslim world will be freed this week form federal custody, it was reported Monday.

Mark Basseley Youssef, also known as Nakoula B. Nakoula, will be let go of a Southern California halfway house where he has been held since May, a prison spokesman tells the Associated Press.

Youssef was sentenced in November 2012 to a year in federal prison, on charges not related to the film 'Innocence of Muslims."  Controversy surrounding the film first began around September that year.
