A witness said a bag attached to the back of the racing-style sport bike got caught in its rear wheel, causing the crash. The motorcyclist then was struck by a gold, late-model Honda Accord, whose driver initially pulled over but then drove off, Leonard said.

Anyone with information about the crash was urged to contact the CHP at (714) 567-7000.
