Cypress Police Searching for Duo Who Stole Restaurant Safe

Police in nearby Cypress say the safe was carrying $2,000.

Two suspects who made off with a safe stuffed with $2,000 from a Cypress restaurant remained at large today.   

Cypress police responded to the burglary about 11:25 p.m. Sunday at Dalton's restaurant at 9575 Valley View. Arriving officers found the front doorglass shattered and the safe missing.   

A witness told investigators that two black men about 20 to 25 years old, clad in black and wearing all hoodie sweatshirts, fled north on Valley View in an older model brown Honda Civic hatchback, police reported.   

Anyone with information about the crime was asked to call Orange CountyCrime Stoppers at (855) TIP-OCCS.
