Early Morning Attempted Burglary at Tetzlaff Middle School

Tetzlaff Middle School is the latest target in a series of burglary attempts at local schools.

Nothing was taken during an attempted burglary at reported just after midnight today, authorities said.

Residents in the area told Patch.com that the school's alarms had been going off periodically throughout the day on Monday, but the school was closed due to a district-wide furlough day.

However, several sheriff's patrol cars arrived at the campus' parking lot just after midnight Tuesday after someone apparently tried to break into one of the classrooms through a window, a deputy from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department's Cerritos Station told Patch.com at the scene.

The burglary attempt at the school located at 12351 Del Amo Blvd. in Cerritos is the most recent occurrence in a series of attempted school break-ins in the area, the deputy addded. Details of the other incidents were not immediately available.

"If you see anything or anyone that is suspicious, please report it to the sheriff's station," she added. All tipsters should call the sheriff's Cerritos Station at (562) 860-0044.

To call this "rag" a newspaper is a joke. They only put partial truths, always sided to aRead More covert friend of the writer and never have done the background investigation to be able to establish validity!
