Former Bellflower High Coach Pleads No Contest in Sex Abuse Case

Bryan E. Shepherd is facing up to 28 years in prison during his March 25 sentencing.

A former Bellflower High School track and girls' basketball coach pleaded no contest today to three sex-related charges involving a teenage girl.

Bryan E. Shepherd, 49, entered his plea to one count of continuous sexual abuse of a minor and two counts of forcible lewd acts on a minor, said Deputy District Attorney Jessica Tillson.

Shepherd is facing 28 years in state prison when sentenced March 25 in Norwalk Superior Court, according to the prosecutor.

He has remained jailed since his arrest in December 2011.

Authorities said shortly after he was taken into custody that the crimes occurred between 2005, when the girl was 13, and 2010, when she was 17, and did not happen at the school.

To call this "rag" a newspaper is a joke. They only put partial truths, always sided to aRead More covert friend of the writer and never have done the background investigation to be able to establish validity!
