A sedan slammed into a center divider wall, careened across the Artesia (91) Freeway and went down an embankment Sunday night, injuring two women -- and 18-year-old and a 23-year-old.
A passenger ran away from the crash, reported about 9:10 p.m. on the westbound side, east of Downey Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A bus might have been involved in the crash as well, the CHP reported.
The 18-year-old was thrown from the car and cut her face, according to reports.
A second woman was reportedly trapped in the sedan with a broken ankle, the CHP reported.
A tow crew was called out to retrieve the car, the CHP reported.
