Lights Poles at Liberty Park Tennis Courts Vandalized

The electrical wires on two poles at the park were damaged by vandals early last week.

Two light poles at the Liberty Park tennis courts were vandalized last week, according to the city.

The vandals cuts eletrical wires on a pair of poles at the park sometime between the evening of Tuesday, Nov. 27 and the morning of Wednesday, Nov. 28.

City staff repaired the damaged poles at a cost of roughly $750, according to the city.

Residents are urged to observe the activities in their neighborhood and community spaces and to report any suspicious activity, vehicle, person or strange noise to the Cerritos Sheriff's Station by calling (562) 860-0044. To report an emergency or a crime in progress, residents should call 911.
