Firefighters Offer Free Sidewalk CPR Training at Cerritos Towne Center Thursday

In honor of National CPR Week, local firefighters and lifeguards will be offering FREE CPR training Thursday at various locations locations throughout Los Angeles County, including at Cerritos Towne Center between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. today.

During the June 7 Sidewalk CPR event -- which is hosted in partnership between the Los Angeles County Fire Department, the Los Angeles County EMS Agency, American Heart Association, and fire departments throughout Los Angeles County  -- citizens can learn hands-only CPR during a 5 to 10-minute training session.

No appointments are necessary, and those interested in participating just need to show up at any of the training locations during the time periods listed. Wait times should be minimal, according to the county fire department.

The closest training sites for Cerritos and Artesia residents include:

• Costco, 340 Lakewood Center Mall in Lakewood, from 4pm to 8pm
• Walmart, 2770 Carson Street in Lakewood, from 4pm to 8pm
