A 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of using a cellphone to videotape another man in a bathroom stall on the Cypress College campus, a police sergeant said today.
Johnny Nguyen was arrested Tuesday afternoon after the man in the neighboring stall detained him, Cypress police Sgt. Robert Cote said. The incident happened about 3:15 p.m., the sergeant added.
Nguyen allegedly told investigators he had used the cellphone camera to get footage of other men two other times Tuesday and 15 more times over the past year on the campus, Cote said.
However, Nguyen was only booked on suspicion of a single misdemeanor count of peeping and then released on a citation to appear in court in Westminster May 2, Cote said.
Anyone who suspects they may have been a victim was asked to call (714) 229-6631.
Nguyen was not suspected of being the man who used a cellphone camera to record a woman in a bathroom stall on the campus Feb. 13, Cote said.
