A man was stabbed to death by his girlfriend in nearby Bellflower Saturday, sheriff's officials said.
The stabbing happened around 2:50 a.m. on Sept. 1 in the 10100 block of Alondra Boulevard, said Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Sgt. Pauline Panis.
Deputies responding to a disturbance call found the victim had been stabbed to death, Panis said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Deputies later found the suspect, the victim's girlfriend, still inside the location. She was arrested and booked for murder at the Lakewood Sheriff's Station, where she is being held on $1 million bail, according to Panis.
The names of the suspect and the victim are not being released at this time, the sergeant said. The motive for the attack remained under investigation.
The city of Bellflower is patrolled by the Lakewood Sheriff's Station, which also serves the communities of Artesia, Hawaiian Gardens, Lakewood and Paramount.
