UPDATED: Man Shot to Death at Party in Bellflower

The shooting occurred overnight outside a Bellflower residence where the party was being held.

A man was killed in a shooting outside a party in Bellflower Saturday.

The shooting in the 10000 block of Park Street, near Bixby Avenue, happened about 12:30 a.m. Nov. 3, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

The victim, found with multiple wounds, was taken to St. Francis Medical Center in Lynwood, where he was pronounced dead, sheriff's Lt. Joe Nicassio of the Lakewood Station said, adding that he was unsure if the party was at a house or an apartment.

The gunman got out of a black vehicle and opened fire, then got back in and fled, Nicassio said.

Paramedics tried to revive the man en route to a hospital, a news photographer at the scene said.
