Motorist Knocks Down SoCal Edison Pole in Cerritos

The accident occurred about 7:20 a.m. Monday; no injuries were reported.

A motorist struck and damaged a Southern California Edison pole on a Cerritos street corner early Monday, but no injuries were reported, authorities said. 

The accident on Artesia Boulevard and Sybrandy Avenue occurred about 7:20 a.m. April 23, said Deputy Tim Britt of the .

The circumstances leading up to the crash were not immediately available. Additional details from the crash investigation are expected Tuesday.

Motorists passing by the accident were forced to drive around the fallen utility pole, which was left blocking the entire outer lane along Artesia Boulevard.
