Motorist Strikes Fire Hydrant in Front of Cerritos Olympic Swim Center

A woman told responding emergency personnel that she "blacked out" prior to hitting the fire hydrant.

A woman slammed her car into a fire hydrant along 166th Street today, shearing it and creating a large geyser of water near the front of the Cerritos .

The accident on 166th Street occurred about 1 p.m. when the woman, who reportedly had medical issues, said she had "blacked out" prior to the crash, Deputy Jake Boersma of the  said.

She was transported to La Palma Intercommunity Hospital for treatment, the deputy added.

City workers on the grounds immediately responded to the scene and quickly turned off the damaged hydrant, according to a witness at the scene.

No one else was injured in the accident.

To call this "rag" a newspaper is a joke. They only put partial truths, always sided to aRead More covert friend of the writer and never have done the background investigation to be able to establish validity!
