Norwalk Shooting Leaves One Dead

The violence broke out about 4 a.m. Wednesday, according to homicide detectives.

A man was shot and killed in nearby Norwalk early Wednesday.

The shooting occurred at 4 a.m. in the 14000 block of Gard Avenue, near Rosecrans Avenue, according to Deputy Mark Pope of the Sheriff's Headquarters Bureau.

The man was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Sheriff's homicide investigators were sent to investigate the circumstances of the shooting, Pope said.
