Residential Burglaries, School Safety to be Discussed at Tonight's Neighborhood Watch Town Hall Meeting

If you are concerned about crime in Cerritos, including the city's residential burglary problem, make sure to attend Wednesday's town hall meeting at Cerritos Park East.

Does the number of residential burglaries in the city of Cerritos concern you? Are you worried about the safety of kids in our local schools? Or maybe you're curious to learn about crime trends occuring in your neighborhood.

If you care about the safety in your community, then make plans to attend Wednesday night's Neighborhood Watch Town Hall Meeting at Cerritos Park East.

The April 24 meeting, which will be held at 7 p.m. at the park located at 13224 E. 166th St., will feature in-depth presentations on crime by members of the Cerritos Sheriff’s Station/Community Safety Center.

Major topics to be discussed include residential burglary prevention and neighborhood vigilance along with the current status of school safety in Cerritos. Attendees will also get to meet and hear from sheriff's Capt. Keith Swennson, who took over as head of the Cerritos Station in late 2012. 

Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions about safety and crime-related issues during the gathering.
