The trio is also believed to have been involved in a car-to-car shooting shortly after the robbery.

A man was wounded in Lakewood today in a car-to-car shooting near the site of a home invasion robbery a few minutes earlier, and authorities believe the two crimes may be related.

The home invasion robbery took place at 12:30 a.m. Monday in the 11600 block of 206th Street, said Lt. Eric Lindblom of the Lakewood Sheriff's Station. Three men with guns entered a home through an unlocked door and took wallets and cellphones, he said.

"They fled in a black two-door Honda Civic," he said.

A man in his 20s with no gang ties was transported to Long Beach Memorial Medical Center for surgery, Lindblom said. His  condition was not immediately reported.
